  Digital Storytelling Workshops

Digital storytelling is a vehicle for the exploration of ideas and concepts, and a cost effective tool for community engagement. It can be a stand alone project or an extension of an existing project.

Through the 3 day Digital Storytelling Workshop participants learn how to structure their story and to utilise their existing resources (such as photographs), to create their own digital story using simple, user-friendly multimedia software.

The story participants choose to tell may be personal and individual,  or around a central theme. The experienced workshop leaders at Grassroots Interactive facilitate and support participants through each step of the process.

Our workshops are based on the model developed by the Centre for Digital Storytelling, with an emphasis on encouraging expression of the personal voice and facilitative teaching methods.

The workshops offer the chance for:

  • connection - with self and others
  • expression - of personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences
  • discovery and risk taking - in a supported environment
  • engagement - with own journey, with personal history, or with key issues
  • achievement - through completion of the project, and participation in final presentation

Our accessible and effective workshops are flexible and can be adapted to suit your specific requirements.

Grassroots Interactive can supply all equipment and provide a workshop location, or work within your organisation at your facilities.

Our workshops guarantee achievable outcomes in a realistic timeframe and for a reasonable cost. We work with your management & staff to deliver workshops in the most appropriate manner for your organisation.
