  Animation Workshops

Animation Workshops by Grassroots InteractiveAnimation means 'to breathe life into', and through our animation workshops participants learn the principles of animation to enable them to tell their story, through a hands-on interactive experience.

Working as a group (maximum of 10 people), participants learn about narrative development, creating storyboards, the hands-on principles of animation, audio recording, and the fundamentals of animation software.

The length of these workshops can range from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on the scope of the desired project outcomes.

The beauty of animation is that it is engaging to people of all ages, and can include a range of different forms from hand drawn, computer generated, through to live action, or 3D.

Animation can be created by people of all ages and all abilities. Our workshops are structured so that everyone has a hands-on experience and ownership of the final result. They are also actively involved in all of the creative processes along the way.

At the end of the workshop we hold a screening of the final film for all participants. The finished animation can also be broadcast on a website, or posted on user generated content site such as you tube or pool.
